From the port of Svedjehamn, a dirt road leads to the fishing port of Vikarskat, from which nature trails also start. At the end of the most popular nature trail, there is an open rest cabin "Hamnbastun", where the bravest can stay overnight.

FOOD AND DRINKS
Salteriet is an old fish salting factory built by the villagers in 1920. The salting operation stopped at the premises of Ravintola Salteriet in 1989. The cafe itself was previously the office of a salt factory. The fish were salted in the big hall, and the fish were gutted at the current warehouse. Björköby's youth club started and ran the cafe until 2012. Nowadays, you can enjoy homemade pastries and charming fish soup at Salteriet! The cafe-restaurant is open in summer season and is open in 2026 from 1st of May Tue-Sun.
